Once upon a time…

Cory Leonardo believed she’d fill the (very fabulous) shoes of Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune. It didn’t pan out. So, she decided to turn letters and phrases in a different way (minus the glittery dresses, sadly). Cory’s first novel, The Simple Art of Flying, was awarded a Parents’ Choice Silver Medal, and has turned up in everything from OwlCrate Jr.’s book subscription box to Scholastic Book Fairs. Published under the title Call Me Alastair in the UK, the book was nominated for the prestigious CILIP Carnegie Medal. Her sophomore novel, The Hedgehog of Oz, was a Junior Library Guild selection. A born and bred upstate New Yorker, Cory currently lives in the Syracuse area with her husband, a collection of snow shovels, and her three plucky children.
