Once upon a time…

Cory Leonardo believed she’d replace Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune . . . but when that didn’t pan out, she decided she’d turn letters and phrases in a different way (but minus the glittery dresses, sadly). Cory’s first novel, The Simple Art of Flying, has been published in the UK (under the title Call Me Alastair), was awarded a Parents’ Choice Silver Medal, and has turned up in everything from OwlCrate Jr.’s book subscription box to Scholastic Book Fairs. A born and bred upstate New Yorker, Cory currently lives in the Syracuse area with her husband, a collection of snow shovels, and her three plucky children.

If you enjoyed The Simple Art of Flying and happen to love a Wizard of Oz retelling (and hedgehogs), be on the lookout for Cory’s next book, The Emerald City Theater, coming your way in Spring 2021!
